With the first post on the site, I'm happy to mention that this very website site uses the technologies that anyone with the skills to type on a computer (or even an iPad or net cafe PC) can create a website such as this one in just a few hours. In the interests of walking the talk, I've specifically selected a system that is near free to host, and can be maintained by anyone with elementary computer skills. Only a web browser was used. There was no uploading the site to a remote server and no software to install or learn how to use. The most difficult part about a task such as this one is for the experts that have to unlearn previous sophisticated knowledge in HTML.
Future posts will emphasise technologies such as this one, but still some work to do on the main pages here. |
